▣ Introduction
The Myongji Educational Foundation was established in 1948 upon the tenets of evangecal Christian faith. Seven educational bodies, from kindergarten to professional graduate schools, comprise the foundation, which does its best to manage its component institutions and provide quality education for its students. The educational institutions of there Foundation have produced several generations of leaders in political, economic, and cultural circles and maintain solid reputations as some of the premi educational foundations. The foundation does its best to secure and provide continuing financial and moral support for its component educational institutions and their faculty and staff.
The foundation assists the Board of Trustees and its Chairman and provides administrative and financial support to its component institutions through the Office of Corporate General Affairs. The Office of Corporate General Affairs manages the Missions Bureau and four campus churches in order to bring the gospel to students and faculty and realize the founding spirit. The Office is also responsible for managing and investing the profits from its investments in the following organizations- the Myongji Buildings (Myongji building, Myongji Nonhyon building), a swimming pool run by the Foundation at Ilyong, dairy farms in Taekwaryong, an experimental forest in Chorwon, and two medical centers, the Myongji General Hospital affiliated to Kwandong University and Myongji Hospital of Oriental Medicine. It also maintains the faculty and staff retreat center at Tay-Chon beach resort area. Myoungji Won Corporation, a sister organization, contributes to the promotion of social welfare by providing counseling and support for troubled families.
